About Orangekake

Orangekake, also known as Amina, is a Swedish-Somali artist based in Oslo with a voice that glides between soulful and electrifying. Her melodies invite listeners to dance without a second thought.

In 2023 she walked away from life as a kindergarten teacher and dropped her debut EP Ceeb(“shame”)—five fearless, self-written tracks that earned P3 Radio spins and praise from Dagsavisen and Urørt. From Oslo’s Krøsset stage to Rotterdam’s New Skool and Sweden’s Future Echoes, she quickly proved her sound travels.

2024 leveled her up: a LIMPI graduate under the mentorship of hit-makers like Ina Wroldsen and Mr Hudson, she sharpened her craft and owned showcase stages from Vill Vill Vest to Melahuset.

Now she’s laser-focused on toplining dance music—writing hooks built for club lights and festival speakers. Making music isn’t just a career move; it’s her true passion, and she’s all in.
